After all the CRAP I've been through the last 3 years

I still manage to believe in

"The Fairy Tale"

Valentines Day has always been one of my favorite times of the year to decorate! It helps me switch from the sadness of another Christmas

being over to the warmth and glow of Love all around.

(O.k. maybe it IS just another excuse to decorate but it's

FUN to me so get over it! LOL)

YES I do have a Valentines tree.....

And Red Hearts and Cupids all aglow in the windows ;-)

It's what I do and I do it BEST.

Anyday now I will be transforming to a new "Look"

in my surroundings and one I welcome every year.

It could be MY YEAR...ya never know

My wish for 2011 is kinda selfish I suppose,

but the possibilities for this year are

endless in my eyes and it's

All about "ME"

I wish for no pain and heartache

I wish for laughter that makes my gut hurt

I wish for Happiness

I wish for a love that makes my Heart sing

I wish for a year of new triumphs

I wish for success in whatever I do

I wish for forgiveness in my heart

I wish for less 'Shrink" appointments ;-)

I wish for Peace within my soul.....

I'm really not in need of anything...
and these things are not materialistic

but are of importance for my
emotional health and well being.

These I wish for Me and only Me.

I miss "Me"

Did somebody say SNOW?

UGH! It's a dang BLIZZARD for cripes sake! Yep, Minne"Snowta" is going to live up to it's name once again! Up to 14 inches of the white crap! O.K. It's pretty and all I'll give ya that but this is wayyyy over the top!

The only thing good about this weekend is I can stay hunkered down and get some serious
preparations done for Christmas! Already have the Crockpot Peanut Clusters in the crock and melting away! ;-) I wish I could eat Just ONE though.....LOL

Tonight it's Frosty the Snowman on T.V. for me and then Christmas Movies I've DVR'd the last few weeks. I have yet to watch November Christmas with Sam Elliot....excuse me drooling here :-) so that will be my First pick tonight and I can't wait.

Since I won't (Can't) go anywhere today.....I can't complain I guess. There's nothing better
than being cooped up with Chex Mix and Cookies abounding. Tee Hee

Well I better go hunt for the newspaper that is buried somewhere out there. The Snowplows have even been called off some roads, so you know it's a bad one.

My Christmas Tree at work....

Yep.....My very own

Charlie Brown Christmas Tree !!

I was driving by Walgreens the other night and as I passed I saw this little tree shimmering in a display window. For some reason my Car veared into the parking lot and in I went to purchase the "Perfect Tree" for my desk at work. For the last 14 years,

I have been the ONLY Girl in my office so for some reason that makes me the chief Christmas Tree put~er upper and take downer. I decided this year I was going to go "Simple." Thus the Charlie Brown Tree. LOL It has drawn so much attention, and everyone that sees it laughs and it brings a *Smile* to their Face.

When I told my Boss THIS will be the only tree this year he gave me that "Look" that clearly said.....You're Kidding right?? Ummmm....N-O I'm not. Get over it Pal!

So much left to do to prepare for Christmas at home......I'm gonna do some serious baking this weekend! Yummm...I can smell the ginger cookies now.............. ;-)

Am I still a "Kid" or what??

Tonight Rudolph is on!

There's just somethin about the Holiday Season that always brings the "Kid" out in me!

Ever since I can remember, I NEVER miss the airing of

Rudolph, Frosty the Snowman,

How the Grinch Stole Christmas,
The year without a Santa Claus,

and Santa Claus is coming to town!

How can I watch these over and over again some may ask or even roll their eyeballs when I admit I still imbibe! LOL It's like this.....If I give in to total adulthood I'm losing the inner Child in Me forever and grow "Old". ;-)  The Child in me that enjoys Hot Cocoa with marshmallows, licking the spoon when baking, the excitement of the first Snow, watching my favorite Holiday Cartoon type shows, *Presents*, singing Carols, Candy Canes, Seeing Santa at the Mall from afar, Making a Snowman, Snow Angels, sliding, and so much more.

I LUV the Holidays more than Autumn even.
(Which I can't believe I just typed!)

You may have guessed by some of the foods I listed? Ha Ha
Tradition has always been big in my Family. Even though my sweet Mother is no longer with us I strive to honor her each year in the role model she was for me. She taught us kids alot about Love, Memories,
Traditions to be carried on, Cooking,
and that Jesus is the reason for the season.

Hoping you all enjoy the hustle and bustle as it soon will be gone again for another year.
