Seriously....Where does the time go?

I'm sure you're all thinkin "It's about dang time Miss Lynne changes her Blog background !! " LOL Ta Da! I did it! Only took me about 20 tries to get it right but who's counting? You all just need to cut me some slack ya hear?
I'm still quite the "Newbie" when it comes to this. ;-)

I can't believe that fricken Valentines Day and Easter have blown by me! I've been busy that's for sure! Especially preparing for that last knife to poke my Heart. Yep...my Beautiful House is now gone....it's empty, desolate and has zero personality anymore. God how I loved my House! It was perfect in every way! Now I just have to have the mindset to realize I WILL have another House someday...and it will be even BETTER than the last. After all A House is just a shell....it's what you do with it that really matters. And Girls ya know I can do alot!!  Queen of all decorating right here ;-)

But I didn't go without leaving my mark......
Aren't I a little "SHIT"?!? I grabbed a pen and scribbled this on a Garge Wall.

I had to write it in such a hurry because my Brother was waiting to leave, but I said what was in my mind at that moment and it made me feel better.

Sooooooooo...I'm on to new adventures and the healing is well on it's way.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Prayers have been answered!!

I am still in shock but my Best Friend Mike went through a Kidney/Pancreas Transplant on Thursday night!

It all happened so fricken fast! Mike called me about 2:30 Thursday afternoon and said the University Of Mn Hospitals just called and they had a "Match" for him and he needed to get to the Hospital as soon as possible.

When he arrived with his Family he was told that the Donor had not passed on yet but was expected to very shortly. By 5:00 the person had passed and the bloodwork began to make positively sure it was a "GO".

Mike went into surgery about 9:00 p.m. and was in recovery by 5:00 a.m. Friday morning. All went wonderfully so far and his new Kidney is functioning as it should
and his Pancreas is slowly adjusting to a new body. No Dialysis.....no more DIABETES!
This is truly a remarkable blessing and Gift from not only God but the Family that made the decision to donate their Sons Organs.

You see Mike knows of the Man that now lives on inside him. Sadly, about a week and 1/2 ago 4 U of M College Students were out for a walk and were struck by a Car that was going the wrong way down the street and came up on the side walk and plowed them down. And then took off!!

3 of the 4 Kids were beat up with injuries but the 4th was injured critically and it took his life Thursday afternoon. He was 23 years old and just about to Graduate. So very very sad. His Family made the difficult choice to donate his organs so that someone else could LIVE!

I finally got to talk to Mike yesterday and he sounded GREAT! Pain was tolerable and his blood sugars have turned to Normal. He will no longer have to take insulin shots..EVER.

I can't wait to see him....I tossed and turned all night on Thursday thinking of him and praying that he would make it through. My prayers have been answered! And Mike has a new lease on life!

He will always have to be on the lookout for rejection of the Organs but for now his life has been extended and the quality of life has gone way up!

Please include Mike and the Family of this Donor in your prayers~

A 23-year-old University of Minnesota student died Thursday afternoon of injuries suffered early last Friday when he and two others were struck by a hit-and-run driver on a sidewalk near Dinkytown in Minneapolis.
Benjamin Van Handel of Appleton, Wis., "passed away with his family and friends by his side," according to a statement from Christine Hill, a spokeswoman for Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.
"Ben was a selfless, loving person who cared deeply for others," Hill wrote. "In his spirit, his organs are being donated so that other families will not have to say goodbye to their loved ones."
Investigators are continuing to look for the driver, Minneapolis police Sgt. Steve McCarty said Thursday. The vehicle was going about 30 miles per hour when it hit Van Handel and others in his group along SE. 5th Street. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 1-800-222-8477.
Van Handel suffered a severe brain injury and broken bones. The others struck suffered minor injuries.

  • He sounds like he was a wonderful person....so tragic.
They have caught the Driver and he was arrested 4 hours after Benjamin lost his life!
