Vacation time is pure *BLISS*

I've been on vacation from work this week and it has been Heavenly!

*No Alarm clock chiming at 3:15 A.M. *&%$!#@
*No Stress
*Relax Relax Relax
*Plenty of time to play with my Shelby Girl
*Staying up late
* Summer Twilight
*Farmers Markets
* Fresh Fruit

And the list goes on and on.....
The only complaint I have is the week goes way too Fast!

Today I'm off to the Huge Farmer's Market in Downtown Mpls. I'll hop on the Light Rail Train and it takes me right to the Market. A fine way to go....no fighting traffic and expensive parking ...

Seriously....Where does the time go?

I'm sure you're all thinkin "It's about dang time Miss Lynne changes her Blog background !! " LOL Ta Da! I did it! Only took me about 20 tries to get it right but who's counting? You all just need to cut me some slack ya hear?
I'm still quite the "Newbie" when it comes to this. ;-)

I can't believe that fricken Valentines Day and Easter have blown by me! I've been busy that's for sure! Especially preparing for that last knife to poke my Heart. Yep...my Beautiful House is now gone....it's empty, desolate and has zero personality anymore. God how I loved my House! It was perfect in every way! Now I just have to have the mindset to realize I WILL have another House someday...and it will be even BETTER than the last. After all A House is just a shell....it's what you do with it that really matters. And Girls ya know I can do alot!!  Queen of all decorating right here ;-)

But I didn't go without leaving my mark......
Aren't I a little "SHIT"?!? I grabbed a pen and scribbled this on a Garge Wall.
Note.jpg

I had to write it in such a hurry because my Brother was waiting to leave, but I said what was in my mind at that moment and it made me feel better.

Sooooooooo...I'm on to new adventures and the healing is well on it's way.

Hope you all have a great weekend!

Ta Ta!

Prayers have been answered!!

I am still in shock but my Best Friend Mike went through a Kidney/Pancreas Transplant on Thursday night!

It all happened so fricken fast! Mike called me about 2:30 Thursday afternoon and said the University Of Mn Hospitals just called and they had a "Match" for him and he needed to get to the Hospital as soon as possible.

When he arrived with his Family he was told that the Donor had not passed on yet but was expected to very shortly. By 5:00 the person had passed and the bloodwork began to make positively sure it was a "GO".

Mike went into surgery about 9:00 p.m. and was in recovery by 5:00 a.m. Friday morning. All went wonderfully so far and his new Kidney is functioning as it should
and his Pancreas is slowly adjusting to a new body. No Dialysis.....no more DIABETES!
This is truly a remarkable blessing and Gift from not only God but the Family that made the decision to donate their Sons Organs.

You see Mike knows of the Man that now lives on inside him. Sadly, about a week and 1/2 ago 4 U of M College Students were out for a walk and were struck by a Car that was going the wrong way down the street and came up on the side walk and plowed them down. And then took off!!

3 of the 4 Kids were beat up with injuries but the 4th was injured critically and it took his life Thursday afternoon. He was 23 years old and just about to Graduate. So very very sad. His Family made the difficult choice to donate his organs so that someone else could LIVE!

I finally got to talk to Mike yesterday and he sounded GREAT! Pain was tolerable and his blood sugars have turned to Normal. He will no longer have to take insulin shots..EVER.

I can't wait to see him....I tossed and turned all night on Thursday thinking of him and praying that he would make it through. My prayers have been answered! And Mike has a new lease on life!

He will always have to be on the lookout for rejection of the Organs but for now his life has been extended and the quality of life has gone way up!

Please include Mike and the Family of this Donor in your prayers~

A 23-year-old University of Minnesota student died Thursday afternoon of injuries suffered early last Friday when he and two others were struck by a hit-and-run driver on a sidewalk near Dinkytown in Minneapolis.
 Benjamin Van Handel of Appleton, Wis., "passed away with his family and friends by his side," according to a statement from Christine Hill, a spokeswoman for Hennepin County Medical Center in Minneapolis.
"Ben was a selfless, loving person who cared deeply for others," Hill wrote. "In his spirit, his organs are being donated so that other families will not have to say goodbye to their loved ones."
Investigators are continuing to look for the driver, Minneapolis police Sgt. Steve McCarty said Thursday. The vehicle was going about 30 miles per hour when it hit Van Handel and others in his group along SE. 5th Street. Anyone with information is asked to call police at 1-800-222-8477.
Van Handel suffered a severe brain injury and broken bones. The others struck suffered minor injuries.
PAMELA MILLER
  • He sounds like he was a wonderful person....so tragic.
They have caught the Driver and he was arrested 4 hours after Benjamin lost his life!

I'm still here....

And I'm disgusted to say I haven't been to work since last Thursday! This Ear Infection has been the total pits! Still having pain and it's still plugged even after using steroid/antobiotics for the last 6 days. Beginning to make me worry and ALOT. Tomorrow I just have to get in to work and one of my first stops is the Nurse. Hopefully she can shed some light on if she sees any changes. UGH!

Downright M-I-S-E-R-A-B-L-E

I am totally down and out with the worst Ear Infection I have ever had!
It started last week when I began to experience little pains at times in my Left Ear. The kind where it tells you that maybe just maybe something is a brewing that is not good! By Saturday it was getting quite uncomfortable so I went to Urgent Care at my local Clinic. An hour 1/2 later I walked out with the antibiotic  Zithromax and some Mucinex to try and clear my sinus membranes. Doctor was sure in a few days I would start to feel better. O.k. ... Thank you.

Well by Monday it actually was getting worse instead of better so I went to see our Nurse Practitioner at work. She took a peek and said my ear drum was quite inflamed and surrounded by fluid. Asked me what drug the Doc gave me
and kind of looked dumbstruck when I told her. Little did I know but at the time she was thinking..Hmmmm? Zithromax? Well o.k. She gave me some drops for my Ear for pain and told me that if it wasn't feeling better by Thursday come and see her. Well I only made it to Wed and called her. "I am not getting better I am getting even worse! She wanted to switch the Antibiotic as Zithromax was known for Pneumonia and such. NOT Ear Infections....greaaaat so now I leave with Amoxicillian. By Thursday I was in such pain I was almost in tears and called the Nurse begging for some oral pain killers.Umm....she can't give me a controlled substance! So went to Urgent care again last night! Finally a Doctor that knew something! She examined my Ear quite carefully and told me no wonder I was in such pain as my Ear canal was/is almost swollen shut! She tried a few procedures to get me on the road to healing .....told me I was NOT going to work today and 3 hours later I'm in the pharmacy with more drugs to pick up. Thank God!! PAIN PILLS..... and antibiotic/steroid ear medicine!!  ;-)

I have been nursing myself with Pain Pills and sleeping most the day away.
Poor Shelby.....Momma's sick....but she's a good little snuggler. Thankful for that!

I swear I NEVER want this kind of pain ever again! Praying that by Monday I may start to get some relief from all this. Meanwhile I can't hear a flippin thing so I'm constantly saying "WHAT?" "Eh?" I've become my Dad! LOL

Hope you all have a great weekend.....mine is gonna be spent laying low.

Say it isn't SO!

Wow! How time flies when you get older eh?! It seems like just yesterday I was decorating for Valentines Day and now it's almost time for Easter! Oops...forgot St. Patricks Day! O.K.
I will confess I do have a tad few decorations for that as well. I swear I need an intervention!

So a few thing have happened since I last wrote. The Biggie is I had to start Insulin Shots
before Bed at night. I have fought a hard battle but the Diabetes is kicking my butt sad to say.
 I mean the shots aren't bad at all as it actually comes in a pen form and really easy to use.
It's that word that bugs me....I-N-S-U-L-I-N. It's scary stuff and nothing to be taken lightly.
This I know as my best Friend in the whole world is Mike and he has been insulin dependent since the age of 8. Growing up as kids we all think we are infallable.....I've watched Mike eat anything and everything even though he shouldn't have. Mostly SUGARY things. Being very familiar I know that SUGAR is a demon when it comes to maintaining healthy blood sugars
but it can also be your best friend should low blood sugar hit! Weird I think. Mike is now 53 years old and his Kidneys are sadly beginning to fail to the point he has been put on a transplant list for a new Pancreas AND new Kidneys. Dialysis is not far away. It chokes me up when I think of it because Mike has an antibody in his blood that is very very rare and the chances of a matching donor are even rarer. I can't imagine life without my Mikey. He's like a brother to me, my best friend and confidante, my partner in crime, he means the world to me. I needed to write this all down so please excuse me for making this a sad post....it WILL get better in a moment!
Anyways, I DO take care of myself  for the most part but there are times when I don't.
In 2011 I vow to keep myself on track and live the fullest life I can. My Mother had diabetes and so does my Dad so it runs in the family. So far my Brothers have been spared from it. It's an awful disease and over time wreaks havoc with all your organs....even your Eyes.
I want to live to a ripe old age....so I will do what I must.....I will be in control...I will do this not just for ME but for Mike. I love you kiddo.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So now on to the GOOD STUFF!
God has blessed me with a very special new Guy Friend and I wanted to share that with all of you.
His name is Pat and he is 45 years old. Our friendship grows deeper everyday and I look forward
to it getting even stronger over time. At this point I have no idea what the Man upstairs has planned for us but for now I take it as it is and embrace every moment. We are able to talk and share our deepest feelings and we understand each other. It's wonderful!
So say a little prayer for both of us.....he's been through even more than me.....so we are taking it
slow. Very slowwwww in fact but it's O.K.
Miss Shelby continues to be my other joy in life and I keep reminding her that Spring is just around the corner so she can romp and play in the grass!! She doesn't understand it but from the tone of my voice she knows it's somethin good! I am so sick of Winter....GO AWAY :-)
I've rambled long enough.......I will say Ta Ta for now.....{{HUGS}}
Faithful and True
He is your friend, your partner, your defender, your Dog.
You are his life, his love, his leader.
He will be yours, faithful and true,
to the last beat of his heart.
You owe it to him to be worthy of such devotion.
I still believe in L-O-V-E
After all the CRAP I've been through the last 3 years
I still manage to believe in
"The Fairy Tale"
Valentines Day has always been one of my favorite times of the year to decorate! It helps me switch from the sadness of another Christmas
being over to the warmth and glow of Love all around.
(O.k. maybe it IS just another excuse to decorate but it's
FUN to me so get over it! LOL)
YES I do have a Valentines tree.....
And Red Hearts and Cupids all aglow in the windows ;-)
It's what I do and I do it BEST.
Anyday now I will be transforming to a new "Look"
in my surroundings and one I welcome every year.
{{HUGS}} to all of you......
